SLAVES TO HUMANITY

SLAVES TO HUMANITY RELEASE NEW TRACK “QUARANTINE”

PRODUCED BY SCOTT HOLIDAY OF RIVAL SONS

BAND CURRENTLY IN STUDIO WORKING ON FIRST EP

Orange County hard rock quintet,  SLAVES TO HUMANITY (STH) have released a new song, the well-timed, “Quarantine.”  Produced by Scott Holiday of Rival Sons, the track evokes the band’s signature  #SunsetGrunge sound, opening with a raw guitar riff that quickly escalates into a heavy, explosive groove. Scott Holiday of Rival Sons co-wrote “Quarantine” with STH, and also produced the track. Scott says, “STH were great to work with. It’s pretty mind-blowing three of them are still in high school! We were aiming for something a little different stylistically than what they had done before, and they really rose to the occasion. The result is a pretty fantastic track and we had a blast making it.” STH lead vocalist Aidan Amini says, “Working with Scott was a lot of fun! We worked on vocals together, which is something I’ve never really done before. Bouncing ideas back and forth made the whole writing process go much faster.”  Look for more songs from STH produced by Holiday to drop in the next couple months.

Slaves To Humanity set out to revive the spirit of analogue-driven, infectious hard rock. Inspired by the raw power of 90s grunge, and riffing 80s Sunset Strip scene, the OC-based band formed in 2019, and weeks later filled a coveted opening slot at the famed Whisky a Go Go opening for Alien Ant Farm. Earlier this year, the band submitted their original song, “Battleground” to the KLOS morning show, Frosty, Heidi & Frank’s weekly “Stay or Go” band discovery segment. As earlier contenders Dirty Honey did a couple years ago, STH won with an overwhelming response. For eight weeks “Battleground” was the station’s #1 most played and most requested song in decades. The band’s second single, “Behind My Back” is currently in heavy rotation.

STH are lead vocalist Aidan Amini, guitarist Pierce Akers, drummer Shane Ryan, bassist Nathan Johnson, and rhythm guitarist, Max Hickman. The band is currently in the studio, gearing up to release their first EP, produced by FRAME WORK, Orgy and Julien-K co-founders Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh.

We first discovered these amazing kids Slaves To Humanity in January and have been supporters ever since. “Behind My Back” is a ripper that stands tall on the air and is a great follow-up to “Battleground”  - Keith Cunningham, Program Director, 95.5 KLOS
